Manhattan Mini Storage Advertising

The Classic Billboard Campaigns of 2001-2009

3D (2009)

In a city full of noise, these billboards stood out by saying less. With just a few words, they tackled everything from crowded apartments to package delivery woes, while reinforcing a promise that’salways been core to Manhattan Mini: storage made simple.

Charities (2008)

We turned storage into something bigger than square footage inviting New Yorkers to make an impact simply by renting a unit. With every new rental, we donated $25 to one of five charitieschosen by the customer. Overall, $200,000 was raised for some great local causes.

Political (2008)

In true election year fashion, we did not hold back on our billboards. From climate anxiety to presidential gaffes and gender equity, we found a way to say, “Hey, while you’re worrying about the fate of the world, maybe make some space for your sweaters too.”

Ex and the City (2008)

We tapped into the highs and lows of urban dating that most New Yorkers have experienced, even the ones from that famous show you’ve probably heard about. Equal parts cheeky and cathartic, we offered New Yorkers a lighthearted way to process the messier parts of love, life, and cohabitation.

We Make Storage Too Easy (2007)

Turns out, when storage is too easy, people really commit to clearing things out. We took the idea of easy storage to its bare essentials, featuring New Yorkers living their best uncluttered lives, minus a few… belongings.

Pop Culture (2007)

When pop culture and politics collide, we make room for both. From political jabs to celebrity shade, these billboards didn’t just turn heads—they sparked conversations (and, in at least one case, a cease and desist).

Butt, of Course (2006)

Sometimes city life doesn’t come with a filter—and neither do we. From poking fun at your overflowing closets to celebrating the things you just can’t part with, we told like it is with the kind of honesty only New Yorkers understand.

Not Meant for the Suburbs (2006)

It’s clear: not everyone’s cut out for cul-de-sacs and casserole parties. Through suburban scenarios, these billboards reminded New Yorkers exactly why they stay put—noise, chaos, weird neighbors and all.

Seasonal Fashion (2005)

We brought a little New York Fashion Week energy to the storage hallways in our 2005 campaign. It was high fashion meets high-function, with a message any New Yorker could relate to: no one has room at home to keep everything in rotation.

Imagine (2005)

These boards highlighted the trade-offs New Yorkers make daily while speaking the real truth: your apartment doesn’t have to carry the weight of your whole life. Sometimes, just a few extra square feet can make everything feel more livable.

Quotes from the Storage Closet (2004)

We handed the mic to the things people put into storage, and they had a lot to say. From moose heads to chemistry sets to emotionally complicated footwear, each item has its own backstory and baggage.

I Store (2003)

At the weird cross-section of New Yorker personalities, they all have one thing in common: too much stuff and not enough space. From doctors to pageant queens and even Santa himself, these billboards showed that behind every storage unit is a story.

Bad Things Happen When You Leave the City (2003)

If you’ve ever thought about leaving New York, don’t. And to solidify that for any New Yorker’s fleeing for “fresh air,” we showed the ridiculous and uncomfortable scenarios that might await you beyond the five boroughs.

One Liners (2002)

This campaign cut straight to the point with one-liners that packed a punch. Whether it was a nod to your questionable taste in partners or your obsession with shoes, the humor came from how painfully relatable city life can be.

Illustrations (2001)

New Yorkers are masters of doing more with less. Packing big personalities into tiny apartments and managing unpredictable times, Manhattan Mini Storage is here to provide the space you need.
